100th anniversary of Turkish Economic Independence

To secure the new state's economic independence post-war, merchants, farmers, industrialists, craftsmen, workers and bank representatives were invited to the Izmir Economic Congress in 1923. In the film, we see the train journey of 8 people from different professions and classes representing the country's economy. Accusations fly, but a young bank officer inspires hope and explains that success can be achieved if everyone acts together with the same belief, as in the War of Independence.
