Solomon’s success as one of the first licensed professional teachers in his village serves as an inspiration to other runaway grooms and brides who fought for their right to get a formal education. In December 2021, President Rodrigo signed the Republic Act 11596, outlawing the practice of child marriage in the Philippines.
