Mark Rouse, a 65-year-old oil painter, began to lose his vision to diabetic eye disease. His treatment included a series of eye injections and nine surgeries allowing him to regain 20/20 vision, a rare result. We created this film about Mark and his ophthalmologist, Dr. Raj K. Maturi which captures his diagnosis as well as the surgery process from Dr. Maturi’s perspective. They also conveyed how critical access to quality surgery is for patients and how devastating the cuts would be.
