Joshua is a filmmaker, creative strategist, and founder of Joshua Tree Films India, a Mumbai-based studio known for story-driven filmmaking and innovative visual workflows. With more than a decade of experience across advertising, branded storytelling, music videos, and long-form film development, Josh has built a career centered around one belief: technology may evolve, platforms may shift, but a meaningful story will always matter.
His work includes directing and producing content for global and Indian brands, contributing to feature films in production, and creating narrative-led campaigns across formats. Beyond traditional filmmaking, Josh has played a key role in advancing new storytelling tools in India, from early Virtual Production adoption to establishing Shadowplay, India’s first cinema-ready AI studio, focused on blending AI-assisted content creation with conventional VFX pipelines to make high-quality storytelling faster, scalable, and more accessible.
Josh continues to champion the idea that creativity should remain human-led, with technology serving as an accelerator, not a substitute. His current slate includes feature projects, AI-driven visual narratives, and a growing body of experimental work exploring the future of storytelling.
This year marks his third term as a jury member at the U.S. International Awards, a role that reflects his evolving contribution to the craft and his commitment to supporting meaningful, global creative work.
