Filmmaker
Pere Cabañas is a Spanish filmmaker, editor and post-production professional working across documentary, fiction, branded content and corporate storytelling. With a multidisciplinary audiovisual background spanning directing, cinematography and editing, his work combines cinematic language, emotional storytelling and an intuitive creative approach he often describes as “freestyle filmmaking.” In recent years, he has specialized in hospitality, tourism and branded communication, leading internationally awarded projects including Better Together (Best Film Promoting a Spanish Tourism Service, FITUR Film & Video Competition 2020) and Guitart Grand Passage Business (Best Tourism Communication, Terres Travel Festival 2018). His independent documentary short film L’Últim Viatge (2024), which he directed and edited, has received multiple international awards and official selections, including recognition at the Cerdanya Film Festival, the Blanes Costa Brava International Film Festival, Girona Film Festival and the Lift-Off Global Network festival circuit. Cabañas is also co-founder of Terres CHECK-IN, the world’s first international audiovisual festival specialized in hospitality storytelling, and currently serves as jury member for several international film and tourism festivals, including the Terres Travel Festival and the Terres CHECK-IN International Hospitality Film Festival.
